  1. There seem to be many Americans who don't want to judge Otani just because he's Japanese, but think about it.

China, which the United States is now competing with, was originally a Japanese colony, and 70% of today's Chinese is Japanese.
Korea and Southeast Asia were all Japanese colonies until the US and Japan fought and lost to the US, right?

    Japan is Asia

Isn't it strange that the best player from that great empire beats an American player?

  2. Can’t stop watching Japanese edits of Shohei Ohtani highlights 2024 NL MVP!!! 1️⃣1️⃣DUBS LGDODGERS 💙❗️

  3. I love Shohei as much as anybody, but I feel like there are some important things that are forgotten: Max Muncy hitting three home runs, Gavin Stone’s complete game, the absolute tear that Tommy went on…

  4. Shohei is so good people are intentionally walking him to get to MOOKIE BETTS AND FREDDIE FREEMAN, who are also two of the best baseball players on the planet. Gotta be the first time in either of their lives they get to the plate after an intentional walk, an absolute testament to the greatness at the top of this lineup

  5. I kept reminding myself he was a pitcher in rehab, my brain was telling me, he can’t keep this up, don’t do it, don’t place a Stake bet, wait for a bad game, then punt then next 🧠 Waited the entire season… and a bad game never came 😂😭

  6. Unless a team actually wins the World Series, all the regular season hype is quickly forgotten. But records (like 50/50) are remembered, no matter how the team fares.

  7. Ohtani first season as a Dodger and making history. First MLB playoffs. Can they reach the promised land? But there are other strong contenders in both the NL and AL

  8. Teoscar Hernandez first Dodger to win HR Derby, also Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, mid season trades like Tommy Edman, rookie Yoshinobu Yamamoto

  9. At 18:33 the commentator talks about how he hit this one to centrefield and knew he had it. I was figuring that there was no point in hurrying – either it was gonna be a flyout or a homer, but no point in rushing either way.
